Happy 20th Dakota!!

Dakota turned 20 this birthday! Happy birthday Dakota!!! He's such an awesome brother.
He recently got accepted to go to Joel Salatin's farm to be screened as a possible intern. He applied for the 2013 summer internship. We are so excited for him!! Praying all goes well and he makes it.
Well, lets get on to the pictures...... :)

Love my bro...
He's breaking in his new birthday farm boots....getting all ready for the Salatins in December. ;)
The dessert of choice. It was interesting, but it was so delicious! Loved it...
 That's a lot of candles....

Opening his presents from Mom and Dad. (the afore mentioned farm boots) :)

Coex anniversary, International firework festival, and Seoul Tower

October 5th was our 1 year anniversary of being here in Korea (only 1 year more to go!), so we celebrated by doing what we did our first weekend here. When we got here, we introduced to ourselves korean food, for the first time, at the Coex Mall...so we went back to the Coex this year for lunch.
It seems crazy that we've been here for a year already. Hopefully our last year will go as smoothly as this year has gone.

Sitting on the floor!

Pretty mommy posing with her yummy food

Ox intestines casserole?!?! :P No, we didn't order that!!

Having fun with the mirror ceiling

When we went outside after lunch we found a big shindig. Korea is always having shindigs! :) This time it was a fashion festival...lol. :) We enjoyed watching this cool clown!

Who doesn't love a huge plush walking popsicle!

The littles...

Firework festival~~
We left way too late this time and got totally stuck in the masses! Last time, if you remember that post, we had no problem at all and had great seats. This time....whole different story!!! :)
It was so crazy getting on the subway. You had to push and shove your way through the door....but it wasn't too hard because the people behind you were pushing you in! Once we got to the front of the line by the door, we had to hold our ground and keep people behind us behind us, so that we could get on. We got separated in 3 groups. Dad and Bella got on a train, Mom and Kade pushed themselves on the next one, and Dakota and I found a small hole to squeeze in on the next one after that. For a few moments I felt the pain of Rapunzel. When Dakota and I got on the subway my hair totally got stuck between and amongst people...I literally couldn't go anywhere. :) So, I yanked my hair and wadded it all up in my hand and pushed myself on the subway. Once I was safe and sound squished between people. I braided it up. :) Now, I can relate in a small aspect. :)
People were already getting on the subway a few stops ahead, so it was already really full by the time it got to our stop, I'm surprised we got on at all.
I have never been so squished between people in my life! I felt like everybody was participating in a serious serious group hug!! Most definitely a story to remember!

 The subway station.

The subway Dakota and I squished onto.

Getting back home was just as crazy. The subway station wasn't bad because they had tons of police crowd controlling above ground and only allowing a few people at a time to go down into the subway station. But, it was majorly clogged at top, but not down in the station.

Seoul Tower~~
It's been a year and we just now got up into Seoul Tower. We've hiked up to Seoul Tower before, but this was the first time actually going up in it.

Our road in front of our "village"

Seoul Tower

Watching the martial arts demostration before heading up in the tower

Best parents ever! :)

That's home right there!!!!

City, city, city....

We could smell this all over and finally demanded it must be found. So, our lovely Daddy went on the hunt to find the source of the intoxicating smell. He scored big time! Eager little happy hands are quick to welcome the warm yummy caramel corn! Thanks, Dad!

Our little goof-ball! What a joy...

We had a fun weekend and created lots of memories.
Looking forward to the next year of memories here in Korea.

Random Life Happenings

This post is just as the title says....random! :)

Haha...no one seems to be noticing the sign!

I love these motorcycles. These guys will take a motorcycle and hook up just about anything to the back of it. It's so funny to see all the motorcycles and all their cargo. This one was definitely the largest....as cargo is concerned.

Did you know? That large building in the picture is plated with gold...yeah...I'm serious.

Koreans love to match, especially couples. The mother and daughter is just precious to me! :)

Well, It's the beginning of October. It's the birthday season for our family. I can just sense that these next few months will fly by. We will hit the one year anniversary point of being here in Korea this weekend. It doesn't seem like that long ago....

Take care!
